Times Have Changed ~ Senior Pictures

Yesterday was the day that my son had his high school senior pictures taken. Boy, do I feel old now!

When I had my high school senior pictures taken, I wore one outfit. Now you are suppose to bring a whole wardrobe to the photo shoot. Seriously it is like a modeling photo shoot! So we had a more formal attire, casual attire, and my son's Boy Scout uniform. In addition, we took some pictures of my son with our dog. I think that those will turn out really cute.

The other thing that has changed is the price. Senior pictures are now more expensive than ever. What is really annoying to me is that many photographers have websites but then don't list their prices. So you have to call to find out the prices.

One photographer wanted $75 indoor sitting fee, $50 sitting fee for outdoor shots, and $35 sitting fee for the dog. The sitting fee was not deducted from the cost of photos. The photographer didn't do photo packages. I had to ask the cost of the individual photos. One 5 x 7 was $35 !!

Needless to say that photographer didn't get my business. I did manage to find a reasonably priced photographer. I think that the photos will turn out great. I just can't believe that the years have gone by so fast!!
