I love browsing and shopping at the Etsy stores! You can find so many unique items made by wonderful people. This week I have the pleasure of introducing you to HomeStudio Etsy shop. HomeStudio makes Scrabble Tile Pendants for necklaces in a wide array of designs.

My teenage daughter loves having things that can not just be bought at the local stores. She likes to be able to have something that is more unique. I really like the designs and that the tiles are interchangeable. These are great gift ideas for moms or teenagers!

The prices at HomeStudio are very affordable. The tile pendants are $8.95 and the chains are $3.50 or $5.50 each. The tiles are interchangeable so you only need 1 chain. HomeStudio also offers a special where you can buy 3 pendants of your choice and ball chain for $25.

Tell us about yourself ?
We are an at-home Mom and Dad raising a couple of really cute kids. We are California natives and currently moved to Carlsbad, CA. We have also lived in the Northwest.

Tell us about your art? What do you make? How did you start creating your product?
Mark is an artist and in early 2008 several friends started mentioning a new online place to sell named Etsy. So, he opened up a shop and began to sell his original artwork. Previously he had been selling them online and in galleries successfully.

We thought maybe there was something Stef could make and sell online too. She had taught local classes on jewelry making, so Scrabble tile pendants seemed to be a great addition to the shop. With Mark's help in graphic design it really became a full-time wife/husband effort. Suddenly the pendants became a big hit and Mark's artwork was put on hiatus.

We make our pendants with a top image sealed in protective shine on the backside of a real game piece. Each hangs from a silver plated bail. They make a great gifts as the pendants can be interchanged easily on the chains. Many of our customers even collect them.

What is your favorite item in your shop?
SAKURA BLOSSOMS (White) It's very serene.

What have you learned from selling on Etsy?
Selling on Etsy has been a wonderful experience. There is such a community feeling about the site. We have learned so much from others and have tried to help others improve their selling too. We have learned that anything is possible if you are willing to take the time and make the sacrifices needed.
