My last giveaway was so much fun!! So I have decided to give away a $10 Starbucks gift card to one lucky winner!


To enter: please leave a comment below on a cheap fun activity that you are doing this summer. You can do this once and must do this before doing the extra entries.

We like to take our kids to a local park with a swimming beach and a playgroud, and pack a picnic lunch. It can be a whole day of fun for cheap!

The grandkids and I are going to the beach to build sandcastles. On July 4th we can go to Ft. Lauderdale beach and see how the pros build them. Kids really love it and Grandma's house stays clean. And it's totally free.

Our cheap fun activity (with a toddler) is filling up a bucket and throwing some floating toys in it in the backyard. Add a cup and water just flies everywhere. Fill bucket often!

Our family loves to go to the library (there are 5 of us) and pick out books, magazines, and movies together. It is totally free and we all look forward to it. Also, we love to go bowling if we have a 2 for 1 coupon.

Give the kids a paintbrush and a bucket of water to paint the sidewalk, the fence, the house... Washing the car with the kids is always fun if you don't mind getting soapy water on you or getting sprayed with the hose. thanks for the ideas.

We're going strawberry picking tomorrow! There's a U-pick farm close by, and the kids absolutely love picking berries! We pick as many as possible, and then I make strawberry jam, most of which ends up becoming Christmas gifts. :)

Make your own summer treats! Mix orange juice concentrate w/ vanilla yogurt and fill into ice cube trays. Make a thin layer of cellophane wrap over the tp of the tray and poke a toothpick into each cube to act as a "handle"for your popsicles. Let freeze and enjoy!

We have a great summer playground camp for the kids in our town. It is really cheap and the kids love it. They do all kinds of crafts, games and even take field trips. Then, we have one of those 4 feet blow up pools, and the kids swim all afternoon. The days go by really quickly.

We got a year-long membership to our local Aquarium for I think around $50 for our family of four. Basically if you go twice during the year, it pays for itself. We have gone countless times so far, and the kids love it!

We bought bikes this summer and will spend time riding along the trail next to the river. Of course we had to put some money for the bikes but we'll have them for years to come and the rides are always free.

Cooking outside as much as possible and making it something of an adventure by trying new foods to grill, like homemade pizza. It tastes great done on the grill if you follow instructions.

My kids and I went tubing in a natural spring. If you own your own tube it is only $6 to get in the park. If you don't have one, you can rent it for $4.
