Do you eat cereal for breakfast? My daughter is a fan of Cinnamon Toast Crunch. I prefer the Strawberry Yogurt Burst Cherrios. I confess, though, when I was a kid, I liked Lucky Charms. But I really only ate the marshmallows!
Last week General Mills announced a commitment to reduce the sugar in cereals advertised to kids under 12 to single digit grams of sugar per serving. This builds on their continuing efforts to reduce sugar and increase key nutrients, such as calcium and vitamin D, and providing whole grain.
I think that is wonderful news. Kids need a nutrious breakfast but commericals for high sugar cereals make them more tempting to kids. You can learn more about the benefits of cereal including a great chart showing calories for common breakfasts.
Also right now, you can click here to get a coupon for a $1.00 off one of four General Mills cereals.
**Thanks to My Blog Spark and General Mills for providing the information and coupons for my family.**

Thank you for the link but I'm bummed that they are continuing to lower the amount of sugar in their cereal. I'm still not recovering from the last time they did this!
